Rebecca Kanter is an Assistant United States Attorney who prosecutes crimes that impact our communities, neighborhoods, and families. From internet crimes against children and human trafficking to international corruption and embezzlement, Rebecca has spent 16 years seeking justice for crime victims. She has also served as the Civil Rights Coordinator and Ethics Advisor for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Peter Singer is in his eighth year as a San Diego Superior Court Commissioner, a judicial officer who presides over Superior Court proceedings in public, open courtrooms. Court Commissioners perform many of the same functions as Superior Court Judges. Commissioner Singer wears the same black robeas a Judge, has undergone the same training as a Superior Court Judge and handles over 100 matters each week in a very busy courthouse!

Prior to elected office Monica dedicated her life to public service law. She fought for families to stay in their homes during the foreclosure crisis in the Great Recession; worked at the ACLU of San Diego & Imperial Counties as a Criminal Justice Advocate; and worked at the City of San Diego, as a Senior Policy Advisor with specific focus in the following policy areas: criminal justice reform and public safety, neighborhood revitalization, workforce development, small business development, equal opportunity contracting, and youth services.

 Tommy Hough

​​Tommy enjoyed a great deal of professional success in San Diego, particularly during my years as a radio host at FM 94/9, KPRI, 91X, and as the founder and host of shows like Brunch With Bob and Friends and Treehuggers International. Tommy has also had the good fortune of working for marvelous environmental organizations like Surfrider and San Diego Audubon, and helping lead and coordinate the ReWild Mission Bay campaign.
